Hi! I am Janet and welcome to my creative outlet which is Balloon Macaroon – as you can already tell, I love rhyme-my names and I like coming across clever puns. Besides that, I love fluffy animals, nature, florals and cakes.

Me Then

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been helping mum plan parties and gatherings for my family. I come from a large family so large parties are quite the norm for me. I was also the mastermind of several birthday parties for my friends and colleagues. Since I was in kindergarten, I loved colouring and making crafts and just creating a mess. I guess all of these things have heavily influenced me to do what I chose to do today.

As the eldest child, I’ve always looked out for other people – making sure that things are going swimmingly (even though I can’t swim IRL). I like to make sure that everyone is having a great time and well fed. I have always been an organised and caring person, I would always put others before me and I just make things work, one way or another.

Me Now

My biggest achievement to date was planning out my own wedding! Of course my sisters helped me out a lot. I had fun designing my own wedding invitations and I got creative with it . On my wedding day, my sisters helped me host a craft-table-guestbook and it was fantastic! We prepared lots of stickers, markers, colour pencils, and an assortment of card for the guests. The guests got creative with their wishes too. I also had an Instax for the guests to capture moments. The guests then paste their wishes and photos into a scrapbook for safe keeping.

I am very appreciative of life and very grateful for what I have. Life is short and beautiful and every moment is precious. When my husband knelt down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, that was the most beautiful moment I have ever experienced in my entire life. I knew from that day forward, he is there to look out for me. ♥ By the way, he proposed on the summit of Mt. Kinabalu and I literally felt on top of the world. Right now, I am a mother to be – we are expecting our first daughter early July 2021 and it is a blessing to both me and my husband.
